MAD GEAR SOLID RADIO TONIGHT!
Join us as we invoke the spirit of legendary British comic Tommy Cooper, raising his decaying corpse from the earth in order to discuss the merits of Polytron’s stunning FEZ. Also, listen to me cry over how much I suck at Trials Evolution.
Will Tommy’s corpse submit to my Necromantic powers? Will he have a potentially disruptive hunger for flesh? Will we end up copping out on debates over FMV’s in contemporary games and just play shitloads of music? These questions will all be answered tonight!
7-9 PM GMT on 97.3 FM or listen online at www.brfm.co.uk
Being a game steeped in perspective puzzles, hidden codes, Escher-like architecture and a distinct lack of anything resembling sign-posting: Fez is not short on a challenge or two. However, after exploring its shifting dimensions and succumbing to its intoxicating charms I have found that the most difficult challenge it poses is in asking you to define your experience. It’s difficult to be concise about a game that is so sprawling and labyrinthine. Watch me as I fail.
I will attempt to move away from the FEZ tomorrow. Promise.
