Just had an emotional flashback to that characteristic panic of running towards a level’s end in DOOM II. I haven’t felt that for so long; where the ultimate goal was just to make it in one piece; free from thoughts of being a completionist or beating somebody. It’s so fucking pure that it makes me want to cry.
